Default Damn JETSPEED Melbourne, My Bulge is Stuffed

after a couple of hot days look what happened to my bulge!!!

i believe that this is due to the bulge being an air pocket and the air heating and cooling inside caused it. Took off the heat shielding under the bonnet and there was no hole to relieve the pressure inside.

Took it to Jetspeed and they claim that someone has whacked it. But there are no marks and my car is parked only at home and i know no one hit it. Anyway the refuse to fix it unless i pay for it.

Will try to dill a hole under the hood and see if i can relieve the pressure in the budge. used a plunger to get quite a bit of it up, so hopefully with the hole it will work.

If anyone has similar experiences let me know

I assume it's a full metal bulge?

They book so much work in for themselves their quality has started to slip as they try to pump out too much which is not the way to run a buisness wether it makes money or not,
Vic just runs around like a headless chook..... lol

Kick up a stink, tell 'em to fix it. I wouldn't be happy about that at all.

Consumer Affairs?

I highly doubt that it's external damage as i've never seen fibrglass warp like that, it's brittle so it would have cracked from impact.

I did kick up a fuss and they expect me to pay for the fix. they refuse to fix any paint damage or anything if they try to fix it.

How hard is the consumer affairs business?

you lodge a claim with them, you can do it online.

then it's up to you to prove your case, then one of their agents 'decides' whether they want to take your case on or not. i went through the beginnings of it with my lemon POS BA xr.

EDIT click here for the website

just make sure you've read and understand all the legal mumbo jumbo before getting into it.

Good stuff man. I hate it when shops won't take responsibility for this sort of thing.
A lot of shops just push out as much work as they can rendering most of it not up to scratch. I'm constantly getting into my boss for that sort of attitude.

i think you would be better off not doing anything with it till you hear from them and get it photographed by them

that way you have them taking the pics and not yourself it will stand up better if the people try and fight it

Nope, leave it as is until its settled.

Tell Jetspeed your going to consumer affairs etc give them one more chance to work out a solution with you.

Unfortuneatly i have only ever heard of bad experiences and crap quality bodykits coming out of Jetspeed Melbourne...
