Default Found Focus LX difficult start than Fiesta

In the morning or leave the car for hours there I need hold the key for about 1 sec to start 2006 Focus LX, but the same condition (dealer's loaned)2006 Fiesta engine roars immediately after turn the key.

Is it because the difference between bigger and smaller engine?

How many kms on each?

Do you position the key to the ON section of the ignition barrel before turning it all the way to the START position?

The reason I'm asking this question is because when you do this, it will prime the fuel pump and the fuel rails will be full of pressure to start squirting fuel into the engine.

A lot of things come into factor into it, like octane fuel level, alarm system, fuel pump, battery level, oil thickness and a few more that I've missed out on.

Wasnt this only a problem with early fuel injected cars in the 80s lol.

If you reguarly use your car, theres no need to 'prime' the fuel lines

Yeah, but you've left the car there for about ~9 hours, the pressure in the fuel system IS going to drop, its a different story if you turn the car off and come back in an hour and turn it back on.

both Focus and Fiesta are 2006 made and around 3000km, Fiesta is loaned from dealer when I have my Focus serviced.

I never position the key to the ON section for seconds before turning it to the START position on either Focus or Fiesta

If leave Focus just 10 mins its easy to start, but dont understand why Fiesta is so easy to start at any condition--10 hours or 10 mins

A mate of mine slept in a garage next to a new car (long story). He wasn woken every hour by the fuel pump presurizing the system.

92 Accord. This was a while a go. It's not loud & you have to be paying attention. I think modern efi cars all do this so they're ready to start anytime.
