Default landau

Just want to get some feed back from you guys. I have the chance to buy a mint landau with less than 100k on the clock for around $20,000.
Will this be a good investment because they don,t seem to have gone up in price as much as normal falcon coupes even though they have all the good running gear?

Well, I hope that the prices do go up soon....$20,000 is not to high a price to pay if the car is in really good condition and if you hang on to it, maintain it well, it will grow in value.

It is funny how many threads have opened in the last couple of months alone here about Landaus- they are coming out of the woodwork and people are beginning to appreciate them more so than before.
Many didn't/don't know what they actually are but that is changing slowly.
The one thing that may hold their values back is the fact that they don't have a racing history persay but they should be appreciated for what they actually were.

Snap it up!! It's true they are lagging behind in price compared to other coupes and for the life of me I don't understand why. Coupes are hot property at the moment and as others skyrocket in price it'll drag the value of Landaus up too. Also, you'll get others wanting coupes looking for Landaus because they have been priced out of other coupe variants.

Honestly, when you have people paying $10 to $15K for bare shells with heaps of bits missing it makes the Landau incredible value, particularly the one you're looking at.

GRAB IT!! And post us up some pics.

Cheers.

Grab it. The price will go up once collectors realise how rare they are.

Yep buy it they will go up. I had the offer to buy a XB coupe last year off a mate for 8 grand and it was in awsome condition AND I DIDN"T TAKE IT he sold it on ebay the next week for 15 grand and the condition it was in today would have went for over 20 grand easy.

Moral of the story don't do what I did. In my opinion the Landaus look alot tuffer than the regular coupes with the blacked out front.

When I found out about our Landau, I stuffed around for a few days thinking about it...anyway in the end I decided that it would be a great investment and it has been. We only paid $10000 for our Landau 3 months ago and from looking at whats on the market at the moment, I think ours would be worth 15-20k easy (not that its for sale!) but it has definitely been a good investment. I have it insured with Shannons for $25000 and that was their suggested agreed price after sending photos of it to them for appraisel.

If its in mint condition, I reckon grab it! Post the pics soon!

Was yours the one with the dinged front wing? I remember pics being posted up just after I bought mine- yours is a pretty neat example if I remember correctly!

They will go up but not in the way the Coupes have let alone the GT's.

They are an aquired taste, Saying that I'd rather an LTD. But if it is in immaculate condition I'd be buying it.

Opportunities are there to be taken!

Maybe if we all refuse to sell our Landaus for less than $30,000 for the next 12 months we will force the prices up!!! Buy a few more as they come on the market and monopolise them...nice idea but $$$ won't allow me to actoin this!

The Phase 3 boys have been doing that for years...._2:

Landau's have in their favour that they are rare, have auto GT running gear and they are all coupes... how can they NOT firm up in value???

People, you are paying for Landau's today, what was being paid for XC Cobra's 5 years ago. Don't miss the opportunity to own a great Aussie V8 luxobarge coupe, or you will kick yourself in another 5 years....

Yep - sounds like a plan!

I was offered $15000 for mine the other day, and I am sure I could have pushed them up from there, but alas it is not for sale so I told them to keep an eye on ebay for one...lol. Have you seen the latest on ebay...not a bad example too!

sorry if a link has already been posted somewhere about this one!

Yep, I posted a thread in the classic Fords area...i wish that I could buy it...I would be in sooo much trouble if I did though!

The Black headlights do make it look pretty tough and at the end of the day, I won't do anything to her that cannot be returned to original should the need arise. They respray will happen further down the line but I hate to say it but Tropic Gold code "H" will be reapplied for the sake of originality!

Yours looks very neat- the lowering helps a lot too! I hope to see it in the flesh one day.
