Activex warning.how to fix website?

Guys I need some advice. I am making a website at the moment and when I open it in internet explorer I am getting a warning about activex. Why is this happening and how can I fix it?

Stav, some activeX files can/may contain viruses which is one of the reasons for the warning I think, not that you have one, just that you may be at risk. Seeing it's your webpage though you obviously haven't created a virus to attack yourself so to avoid the warning I think you have to adjust your security settings on internet explorer.

you running any scripts on it like flash or javascript? could be the case.
add it to your trusted sites and till stop asking you (once youve run it once)

There is a way to get around it, can't find it but I'll keep looking...

Out of curiosity, are you opening it locally (from your hard drive) or online?

Adding it to trusted sites wont help at all, as everyone else will be getting the same message.

If it's because you're opening it locally, its a simple workaround which I can post. Obviously you have java or flash on the site?

Doesn't exactly help...he's DESIGNING a website that is having this problem...should he put a banner on his website saying DOWNLOAD FIREFOX BEFORE VIEWING?

Sorry i should have read the post properly, I thought he was having ActiveX issues with IE on VIEWING sites.

Some more info would be good, what type of pages are you making ? ie html or asp

this is true, but for the meantime (whilst he is making it) it'll make his life easier

I started the site with frontpage then went on with dream weaver. I dont know if flash or java somehow found its way in as I went on..

I am opening from my desktop..

No doubt a bit of Javascript crept in. You using any fancy features?
If you view the source, does it have some lines like this?

<script language="Javascript">

</script>

If so, that could be causing your problems.

If you placed a scrolling marquee with FrontPage, that will do it.

In all honesty?? I have checked and rechecked links layout ..it all still works
