Default super street

in the ANDRA rule book, it states all super street vehicles must be muffled

what is classified as a muffler? a hotdog?

also, says must not exceed 98DB from 30 metres. how loud is 98 decibels, and does that mean it cant exceed that from idle?

for example, could i run headers, into twin 3 inch pipes with no cats, into twin hotdogs ( or mufflers ) then dumped?

thanks

ben

I would say so.
That is the same noise rule that applies at sandown.
So how loud the supercars are. that is your limit.

do you have to have a rollcage, or harness in super street?

i think you may have to have a 3 point harness, but im not sure about the cage. i dont THINK so, i think once your 10.00 and under you haveto have one.

can someone clarify this for me?

No roll cage required unless you run 10.99 or less. Tens or less = cage.

However, the Super Street class is for 11.00-12.99 et's and it's mandatory to have one if your car runs under 12.00's.

Harness regs:

Slower than 11.99 = 3 point
Less than 12.00 or over 110mph = 4 point
More than 130mph = 5 point

There are specific regs relating to harness setup too which will be inspected when your vehicle is inspected.

Under 12 seconds you also need a tailshaft hoop and external battery cutoff.
