Stay with the stock ones man! i bought the clear ones off a mate and when we put em on i thought yeah they look sweet! But about 2 weeks i realised they just looked too ricey as all the other guys on here have said and plus the stock tail lights just look heaps better!

try a wrecker for stock units. But before you do that, get a price from ford to compare.

Stock for shizzle, and if you'd like, tint the red, or go inside and spray around the non reflector parts or on the back of the lens.

I am planning on doing this myself.
How did you do it??
I was thinking of putting a few drops
of tint into some clear to give it a
nice glossy look.

Mask up the clear bits with masking tape

Rubbed some Metholated sprits over the lens and wiped it off

2 coats of nightshade
and hey presto.... done
let dry for an hour or so and put the lights back in

That looks pretty cool, would go well on a black car. How legal is it? can you see the brake lights through it?

Available from most autostores. it is a proper tail light tinting paint. use common sense when using this. I would only go 2 light coats tho, no more.
Hardest part is making both sides look the same. LOL
Light still shines through pretty well. Proof of that was had a nice Police car behind me the other night and he didnt pull me over to have chat.. So I musta done it ok.

The product is called Nightshades and made by VHT, I have done mine in it and I found it turned mine very dull and a "matte" finish. Not happy with it. If anyone with a ute wants some Ill gladly swap you mine for some stock ones.

mate was saying the same thing, that every now and again you get a matt finish.... It seems just an odd can here and there it happens, dont now why.
Mine was ok and looks as shiney as the tail light was before.

Ive seen it used before where it has actually had clear mixed into it and it doesnt come up too badly, but as you buy it in the can it has no clear so it does come out very rough. Well, it did for me anyway.
