There are reserves too deep to drill to to make a profit, and there's other resources, such as Canadas oil sands- in fact, Canada are second only to Saudia Arabia, and have reserves beyond 2020. Then there's shale oil, which is environmentally damaging to mine, but it's there.

This crossed my mind but I didn't wanna seem like another Holden basher, lol.

That statement could give insight into where Holden are moving with their products....or they need a boost in there LPG sales.

What are your thoughts on Biodiesel and Ethanol gents. Never seems to be taken seriously when compared to LPG, CNG, and electric cars. I hear two arguments against them, 1 it will take the food out of starving mouths, and 2 its inefficient to produce. I find these arguments a little shallow in some areas:

1 It seems to me that food production is big business and also highly political, thats why orange growers in QLD are "forced" to plough in whole crops whilst others starve. Thats why I find that argument a little frail, and

2 Ethanol production in the US is based on corn byproduct which is apparently very inefficient, whilst brazils ethanol production which is based on sugar cane is far more efficient, to the point these farms produce product and are self sufficient. That and the fact the sun does all the work in the growing department, why would efficiency be the killer here?

Given the vast tracks of land in australia and water (given that desalination would have to provide this water), I would have thought an agricultural based fuel would be the way to go. Any thoughts?
