Default FG G6 Qtr Mile

Finally took the G6 to WAW.. 5 runs

14.2
14.1
18.2 rev limiter :-(
14.2
14.2

I was very much after a 13. something but with 97mph it was never going to happen, at least it was consistant.

The car has

Stock Headers/Cat/Midpipe
19`s all round
spare/jack removed

2.5inch cat back
underdrive
v8 intake / kn filter
BPT custom tune (was custom tuned with headers/cat)
6 speed auto
thermostat

No traction issues off the line.

Details of the best run are as follows...

14.107
97.4mph
60 2.175
330 5.956
660 9.098 / 125.45kph
1000 11.816
LOSE - to an ss .. but only by .1

Was a great night but the G6 is just a little too heavy for a 13.

14.1 is not bad at all. How come you removed the headers/cat?

^^ Was returning it to stock for sale, but noticed that is was not really any slower.

it was 188kW on the BPT dyno with the full exhaust, I may get it redynoed just for interest sake.

No, not the ghia!

I am sure if someone took an FG XT with a 6 sp auto, and gave it a proper tune with just the intake modified and a cat-back exhaust, that they will run a 13.9X...

Thats super for an N/A 6. Wouldnt have cost alot for all those mods, and would shame a lot of V8's.

They are some crazy times for an NA Falcon. They've really made these cars go!

Nice effort Craig...

I had to look at those numbers twice before it sunk in, 14.1sec is what my car got stock just a few years ago!

And only 0.1sec behind a VE SS !!

Yeh... 0.1 or 0.2 second off three different vess's . but two of them were crossing the line at 180kmph! If it had been a 300 meter race I'd have got all of them.. but a 500 m race I wouldn't even have seen them finish.

I also got flogged by a gemini !
