I did wonder when I supplied my own oil & I asked the guy who did the job how much oil it took to be told over 6lts. Pushed for more detail as the filter holds oil but ... huh. : :

Mate I wouldn't be too worried about a little extra oil in the sump. People often overfill sumps by as much as 1 litre on track days when the car is getting a flogging. If I was you, I would try to find what happened to cause the loss of coolant as it is much more of a concern.
