Default XR8 Trilogy

hey guys im looking at upgrading the 6 banger to a AU xr8 220 11 or 111 for my 19th, but im a lil confused on the xr8 series history. This is what i have gathered from the fpv site (please correct me if im wrong).

AU1: they made the XR8 au1 in 1999 and it lasted until 2001 when the series 2 came out, they only came with the 185kw 5L.

AU2: After much revision on the front brakes and a few other thing they could safely have more power out on the XR so the series 2 came with the new standard 200kw engine, the enhanced hand built 220kw and then a rebel remake with a different body kit, rims, etc.

AU3: Came out with the standard 200kw and the 220kw but both had options of the tickford options or the rebel option.

Does this sound about right?

Also what are the best ways to tell apart the 220 editions from the standard 185 or 200, other then the badge, and making sure it was made after june 01? I just want to make sure im on the right track so i dont end up getting the wrong one.

Oh and also, what were the main differences other then the body kit option on the au11 220 and the au111 220?

Sorry for such a stupid post but the fpv site only confused me more and every person has a different story.

Cheers

Will

S1 dates back to August 98 for the XR8, NOT 1999
