Default Wheel alignment - Good customer experience

I don't normally comment on service, however I have to give an honorable mention to Brad from Bridgestone at Zillmere (Brisbane, QLD).

He was happy to check the car out just before closing time, and advised that the rear was 'visibly' out of alignment and advised me to book it in.

Due to my going away for the ANZAC weekend to be with my grandfather, the only free time I had was the week after, and I was a little concerned about driving up the coast considering it was noticeably out of alignment when driving.

Now its 5 to 5 on a Friday afternoon, everyone else is ****ing off, he simply yells to one of the other mechanics "you done yet?" and then asks for the keys saying he'd do it for me now. Got told to wait in the office, free coffee and magazines to read, he comes back less than 15 mins later with a full report and a rather stunned look on his face.

The rear was 15mm out in total, 10mm on the left, 5 on the right, guess lowering the old girl put her out more than I thought. Anywho, to conclude my spiel, its service that's rare these days and I was very grateful indeed for his consideration.

(P.S. Thankyou to Coleman tyres for recommending them, also a good mob)

Not necessarily... I had mine done with the last set of tyres at a different place to usual and I could see the guy working away on the rear.

I asked him if there was a prob and he said it was "way out" and from what he could see had never been adjusted.

Car certainly felt different on our recent Cairns excursion but I'm a bit miffed as I average two wheel alignments per year and have always been charged for front and rear.

I'll take it to your guy next time (it's closer than the last one). Thanks for the heads up

The rear of the Falcons (or any rear wheel drive car that's adjustable), seem to go out of "wack" a fair way for some unknown reason. I seem to think it's the push off the rear wheels that does it.

As for not being adjusted. I find that all to often unfortunately. Most places either don't look or don't care about doing the job throughly.

Doing the job at the hour it was done is bloody unusual. Myself, come knock off time, all I want to do is leave. However from what I can gather from the posting, the manager just wanted to make sure you were happy, and didn't worry to much about the worker. Good for you as a customer, not much fun for the worker, especially if they've had a busy day.

Anyway, good to hear you're happy and good on you for the plug

Please read the manual carefully, as the these manufacturers spent millions of dollars making sure it is perfect.....Now why are there so many problems with my car, when I follow the instructions to the letter?....Answer, majority rules round here

Lock me up and throw away the key because I'm a hoon....I got caught doing 59 in a 60 zone

some other shops to reccomend are
Caboolture springs and suspension over on Aerodrome Road at Caboolture a mate was very happy with
Drivesafe at Caboolture just in behind the yamaha dealership on morayfield road(has a little yellow excel and also drives an AU falcon so knows the car well but charges accordingly as its only a small specialist suspension shop)

Redcliffe springs and suspension for everything BUT alignments(they don't have the machine but do all the other work for a good price and great knowledge etc even the female receptionist(seemed like his wife) knew her stuff!!))
