Yeah not for our cars lol. If you could get a difference out of a mod for around $200 we all would have it already lol throttle body is cheaper than a catback

I wouldnt discredit it at all. The E series guys have run back to back dyno runs with them and with a tune have seen up to 10kw.
I have one Im about to put on, Ill tell you how it goes.

I guess if they get a gain at the top end, at the expense of low down power, then it's not such a good mod.

You can only try though.

This.

While it will provide a peak power increase, it will also rob low end torque. Not real flash considering the rev range you would usually sit in on the street is in the lower end of the scale.

But Josh what sort of rpm were the gains? Ie. What rpm does the standard throttle body become a restriction? Surely it'd barely make a difference to a bolt on au but even with a worked head when do you expect it to make a difference?

I did back to back dyno last year and lost 5rwkw with a bigger throttle body but after it was retuned i gained the 5rwkw back - so worked out even

here is all the info in this thread http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11265405

Now my tuner says that with a retune I will get back up to 156.9........

He also said that on a stock car with no mod's then you may seen the gain they claim.............

My mechanic said it would not be worth it and that i would lose a significant amount of low down torque. I mean, with the current power it isn't warranted. I'm sitting on 151rwkw. He said current TB is more than big enough. If i was getting 200rwkw then it may be a different story.

I do have a 68mm series 1 TB if anyone wants it... Just gathering dust atm
