Gas hatch struts on my LR Focus

Hey all,

Hoping someone might be able to give me some advice. The gas hatch struts on my LR Focus have failed again, they have already been replaced when it was under warranty. They are $250 odd a side! ouch! so not keen on getting them through the dealer.

Anyone got any idea where I can get some aftermarket ones? Anyone else had the same issues?

Just be careful of the eBay ones. I got a pair and the are too powerful. Open the hatch and the door just flies up, and can damage the door and rip the struts out if you're not careful. I ended up getting a pair of genuine ones from the wreckers

arrived today and fitted them in 5 mins flat, look exactly the same as the factory ones and work just as well!

Win $58 a pair delivered from thegasstrutguys on ebay! Recommend them!
