Hi Andrew,

I am not the best to ask about how long they last but I know you'll be up for a new timing chain at 240,000km and I'm guessing this won't be a cheap job.

Yeah it just seems really high for the age - even at hwy kms, I would look at spending a bit more for something with less than half the wear and tear.

I own an LS LX sedan auto and I use 70km a day to work and back. Its an 06 model and I've only done 70,000KM. Its value is ~$12k, nothing more than that.

Hey Andrewwaters,

My car is an 06 model. I've travelled interstate 4 times with serveral smaller day trips and use my car every day. I've only just had my 75k service done, so I agree that km's on that car sound excessive. I can't get onto ebay from here (at work) to see what it is going for but I'm sure you can find a much better deal.

I've owned my car since new and the only problem I've had was a few water leaks in the hatch. Other problems I've had have all been a result of modifications.

That ebay site says the car is sold already. So I guess the op bought it

It may have been a delivery car for some company. Which would make me think its either been horribly thrashed by young guys who don't care about it, or carefully abused by older ladies sitting on hills with the clutch.

I'd be passing on it lol...
