How times have changed...we're fixing up our house to sell it and I was cleaning out my shed and packing away my vast collection of old motorcycle and car magazines. I came across one from 1982 or so, a Motor magazine I believe, with a comparison between the "last of the 351's" (the XE-ESP Ghia) and a VH SS Group 3 Commodore.

They quote the power outputs in glowing terms, and praised the "power!".

How much power? The 351 Clevo put out a staggering 140kw, and the modified 5 liter in the SS Commodore put out a mind-bending 160kw. Oh, how did the test drivers ever put up with the power!!!!
