Default World cup Cross member

Hey guys just a quick 1 i have put a standard world cup cross member in my mk2 but the steering collum uni join is hitting it is this common how should i overcome this issue ?

use a GP4 steering couple......

there are numerous manufacturers now of these units, the style is all along the same lines, however, there are small differences
