Okay I know what this part is for, but I do not know its name.
Today I changed all the coolent hoses, Water Pump and Heating Tap but on closer inspection of this unnamed part, I feel I should replace it too. So if you can name it I can buy it. Thanks, Edit:Spelling

That's the pipe that feeds the heater. I'd guess and call it the heater inlet pipe. There's a corresponding one on the other side of the block that feeds back into the water pump. That I'd call the heater outlet pipe........ but I don't know what the parts catalogue would list it as.
Why do you think it needs changing anyway? Bushbasher

The reason why I want to replace it, is that it is badly corroded on the heater tap end,

EF and AU share the same part - I'm running an EF thermostat lower heater pipe on an AU VCT engine..

Just out of interest...what's one of these worth? Mine had a minor leak at the thermostat housing end too, I globbed it up with some form-a-gasket type 2, but I don't expect the fix is going to last too long.

That heater pipe you'all are referring to has a rubber seal fitted at the thermostat end. This seal can be bought very cheaply (even at Ford dealers), and get replaced.
I replaced mine around a year ago, after it started to leak, increasingly! Cheers, 4ford |

Mine is leaking at the other end. The pipe has corroded through and has a small fracture which leaks under pressure.

The pipe is exactly the same from EA-AU. Not sure about part numbers, but fitted an EA one to an AU s2 ute a couple of weeks ago....
