Have an 88 Laser Ghia as a loaner, for a run around whilst a family member is overseas.
Sometimes, the air con gets stuck on, regardless of the switch position. This means when you turn the car on, the thermos run consistently. Its better than having the air con permanently stuck off, but I'd like to fix it if its an easy one. Seems to right itself after a few days, and when its not stuck on, the switch operates normally - so I'm not convinced the switch is actually the issue. Any ideas?

I'd be chasing a relay fault to start with. From memory the A/C relays are mounted up near the LHF shock tower.
