Hi,
I just got an sms from my neighbour re her 2004 Fiesta "can't register any gears". I'll have to talk to her find out what that means. If anyone has an idea about it please let me know. She was wondering if lack of transmission fluid might be the problem but I don't really have a clue about auto transmissions or just what her message means. When I have spoken to her and seen the problem maybe I'll start a new thread (this is sort of off topic but the car and year are not). Best regards |

A quick search shows up computer needs to register the auto box and its gear positions.
http://www.justanswer.com/uk-ford/7h...x-problem.html Though not a solution in that thread it points to programming or a failure of the clutch actuator. Both would need expert advice to diagnose. |

Hi,
Re "can't register any gears" I've seen the car. This is too far off topic so I'll start another thread. Thank you every body (in particular Pursya). Best regards. |
