Default Diesel tuning boxes....

G'day. im looking to buy a cr tech diesel tuning box from bluesparks ebay store. Anyone had experience with one of these? The main thing I want to know is, is it a proper circuit and not just a resistor mod?

Cheers

Thanks for the reply. I almost bought a bluespark pro with boost control but have instead today purchased a superchips bluefin unit. I will flash the ecu when it arrives. Good gains of an extra 89nm torqie and an extra 22bhp i think. Looking forward to it as i really had to break the misseses ballz. lol

honestly paranoid about the reistor boxes that up the fuel pressure. Ive heard tjat after doing around 10k most modules will have caused diesel leaks. Not sure of its true but its enough to scare me away. Glad to hear the box has gone well for you. How long you had it in?

The bluefin unit came in yesterday. I have flashed the ecu this morning and so far the car is running awesome. Big noticeable difference especially in first gear. It pulls nicely. Mine is the 163 ps engine and according to Supechips, my car should be running around 185BHP and 412nm's. I believe it is, it could be slightly higher or lower. Next on the cards is a good air filter setup, good exhaust with de-cat pipe then possibly an intercooler upgrade, which means I will need to contact Superchips to get a new revised map sent to me.

Loving it!

Hey mate, I paid $535.20 Freeshipping via courier directly to my front door. I ordered it from Tigersoft.com.au , great service, the fellas name is John, Top bloke and answered the million questions I had to ask. They are usuall $700-$800 but are currently discounted by 20%.

A great buy. If you go to superchips UK websie, you can enter your cars details and get the dyno graph for your models expected HP/NM's after the reflash.

also if you have any other mods on the car, let superchips know prior to uploading your current map so that they can make adjustments.

Thanks for the updates Executer. I'm picking up a new 2013 TDCi auto with sports exec pack next Wednesday and am thinking about this mod that you've done. I'm just wondering if I should hold off for a while since its a new car. I assume yours is still under warranty, so are you satisfied or concerned about any problems it may cause?

Hi. Im so far very satisfied and not concerned one bit. The superchips tune is very mild and well withing the safety margins. Yes I am under warranty still but with the bluefin unit you can set the car back to stock prior to going back to the dealer for servicing then put the custom remap back on once you picl it up.
