Default Best Cat Back Exhaust for AUII XR8 220

Hi,

I am looking for a cat back exhaust for my AUII XR8 220. I am mainly after a good V8 note. I have got price for single 3" and dual 2.25" and I not sure which is the best.

So which do you think I should get?

Thanks,

Hoich

3" for noise. Dual for better power (apparently). I have 3" on mine with a single high flow muffler, and it sounds like a V8 should.

I checked out alot of AU's and did a lot of sussing around before I got my exhaust done.
I think stainless gives a much crisper note.
Twin 2.25 inch sytem was the best thing I ever did.. Sounds so good.
Fairly straight thru mufflers, dropped the rear res and added an X pipe.
The motor spins alot better and you can definately feel the difference in the seat of your pants.
It sounds tuff but not too loud.

Hope my opinion helps out..

Thanks for the replies.

I only have limited money as I have just bought a house. Where is the best place in Melbourne to get a exhaust done, which will make it sounds like a V8 should.

Thanks,

Hoich

listen to the links in my sig, its of my 200kw sedan, its just the std ford twin 2.25" exhaust with lukey turbo mufflers in place of the ford ones, and pacemakers. Sounds very old school.

I have a Lukey Ultimate blah blah 3" cat back on my 200kw ute and the note of the twins is SOOOO much better, will be putting up a clip of its sound next week, will record one on the weekend, i only got it coz it costed $400

As a cheap option, remove the rear resonator and run twin 2.5" or 3" out the back to replace it. Should sound heaps better.
