but I suspect the block would fracture using rated bhp.

Probably yes.
but it only needs to last 24 hours, just like the V8s etc its competing against.

If it even makes the track. There is a lawsuit from a chassis builder claiming his 2 previous employees who now work for Nissan stole his designs. Actually 2 companies are suing over this.

Hell even Moto gp bikes could use em, reconfigured of course.
