Default IRS diff swap out

My R31 3.89 diff with 4 pinion VL turbo LSD is on its way

Had it built by Glenn in Dandenong ( vicmelboz differential )

Can someone please give me a guide on how to do the diff swap

I have never done an IRS diff before

Cheers

So youve had this built all into an au housing?
if not youll have to pay someone to do that.

But if all in au housing ready to go its pretty easy, remove spring assemblies, undo top control bolts to stub, undo tailshaft, remove half shafts, undo 3 bolts and its out, reverse the procedure.

crow bar gently or big tyre lever will pop the half shafts out

bolt is right at the bottom of the shock and inside the towers of the car, top lca bolt to stub is pretty clear to see, wont miss it.

yes, undo and move the brake caliper to one side, undo the top and bottom bolts holding the hub upright and carefully leaver the drive shaft between axle and centre housing and with a little force it will pop loose.. pull the shafts out enough to clear the centre..

Got it, bashed it with hammer
3.9 diff in all back up except exhaust

my procedure i did

Crack wheel nuts
Jack car + stands
Take wheels off
Undo cat back and remove
Remove tail shaft but mark all points and locking nuts
remove brake calipers and set aside on milk crate
take off rear discs
Remove Rear shocks and spring complete unit

remove rear toe link on hub, its just one nut but your gonna have to keep nut on the end and bash it with a hammer up so it will pop out cause my were a pain and i don't know why and now i need new ones but anyway

remove upper control arm bolt need breaker bar, beware of falling perished bush particles
remove lower control arm need breaker bar , beware of falling perished bush particles
get another milk crate ready and pull toward you the half shaft and then reach in and pull it out of diff, crow bar and screw driver did damage and wouldn't pop it
Remove abs sensors
Drain diff oil
2 bolts rear of diff remove
get jack under diff with wood ready to drop
1 bolt under diff undo
drag diff out on trolley jack
