Default 14 secs

exactly how hard is it to get a e series a 14.00 sec timeslip, can just basic bolt-ons do the trick, cam exhaust etc, or does it need the works ecu, rebuild engine big stallie or button clutch. would a streetcar like this and still be driveable ?

you want a 14.00 second timeslip or a timeslip in the 14's?

manual, exhaust, diff, and mild cam is a comfortable 14

14.00 needs LOTS more

I meant a 14.00, and I was curious where the budget/bolt-on ceiling was eg about 2 grand which can buy a fair bit of the cheap bits but almost none of the good bits (turbo etc).

14.00 needs a big cam and most probably a good tune to suit, diff and suspension mods, 5 speed, headwork, etc.

or boost of some sort

depending on how its done, it could be kept streetable, but it is not cheap.

the above would be the start, and even then id be still a little skeptical of running a 14.00 but it certainly would be very close.. thats what i think anyway

i would say go with the jmm stuff that seems to get u in the 14's pretty easily and yeah some porting and polishing of the head and some good tyres and 3.7ish diff gears and u should be close to the 14.00. but it also depends on wat condition the bottom end is in aswell. and u shouldnt need a brass button clutch just make sure it isnt slipping and it will most likely not last long if its just a stock one. i will be trying to get into the 14's in my car sometime this year i dont no wat it runs at the moment.

well going by your username Id say turbo would be the easiest/best route.

Its hard enough with a falcon let alone a LTD.

I own a el XR6 now but when I joined I had a 83 LTD which I never never never should have sold, having said that a 14 sec LTD would be one hell of sleeper
