Default EF SPRINGS? and handbrake woe's

jut wondering if ef falcon springs will fit an EB as i ave acess to a full lowered set. and my handbrake cable is frayed and locked on permently, to rectify this i have removed the pulley from unde dash and also the pin from underneath car (under drivers side door) that connects cabel to a lever. it seems to have released the handbrake... not sure 100%. The other problem is when the brake got stuck managed to maybe relaese it 50% so as to drive home with but the light was still onh\ the dash then i lost all foot brakes... though this might be because of the car thinking handbrake still engaged but when i undid the lead and clip to the relay under the dash the brakes came back but now very spungy... hope i havent done anything serious... any hints guys?
cheers, mitch :
