Default Anyone been having Issues Uploading Photos ??

Hi guys, I can't for the life of me figure out why I keep getting this error message.

vBulletin Message
Your submission could not be processed because a security token was missing.

I have contacted Admin and the offering is to clear cookies and log out and log back in.
I've done that and still not able to upload pictures.
I've even tried uploading from safe photo hosting sites such as Flicker and Imgur and pfft, nothing.

I have never experienced this on any other forum, except here, and I am active on several others too.

What do I do from here ?

Works fine from Postimage on Win10

I'm not having any issues uploading photos using postimage (as per gaso's post) on either windows or android platforms.

Perhaps a bit more info, as per mads post, would be helpful?

I've tried everyway possible. I have gone into "Attach Files" - Manage Attachments, then this opens an upload box which gives you the option to upload 10 files of choice subject to files size etc..
I click "choose file", it then opens my folder in my PC, I click the file, then "upload" and then wait for it to upload. Shortly after I get the error message

vBulletin Message
Your submission could not be processed because a security token was missing.

If this occurred unexpectedly, please inform the administrator and describe the action you performed before you received this error.

I then Try to use the URL option and copy and paste image URL directly from Flicker or Imgur (both safe site), and I get "Invalid File"

WT ??

As a last resort, I tried uploading vis the Picture icon directly above the dialogue box and this prompts a URL too. I then copy and paste it into the dialogue box, which appears once pasted, then when I post, the post is blank.

I am at my wits end with this. I have no clue what else to do. It shouldn't be this difficult to upload a photo to any forum. I've never ever experienced this in all my years of forum attendance.

To post the images from Flicker or Imgur, are you using the IMG]http://test[/Img tags (available by pressing the art frame icon on the posting thread header, has a yellow background with a mountain in sun on it, above tags have opening and closing square brackets removed so you can actually see the tsgs) and placing your url in between them, as per above test example?

I've posted images yesterday using this method without any issues at all.

I haven't tried using the site attachment method in ages, but just tried and it said it failed but that could have been because the file was too large.

Hope that helps.

I did use the Art Frame Icon too.
Here's my Test URL
While I type this response the square brackets appear as you say with my URL inserted in between and closed brackets, but when I hit post, it's not visible at all. It's blank after posting so my response looks like I forgot to include it. This is crazy !!
I have no way to illustrate the issue because none of the upload methods work !

To try and work out where the problem is, try manually placing your url for the image inbetween the image tags. [IM G]your url goes here[/IM G] (no spaces in the tag of course). Hitting the picture button just places the url inbetween the tags for you, but if there's a problem with the button, doing it manually will show that up.

Let's see the URL of the image that you're trying to post. Can you post it without the tags so we can see what it is you're linking to? I'd suspect you're linking to the page itself rather than the image directly.

edit: image upload function also seems to work okay for me. dare I say it but sounds like user error.

Tried a smaller file in the Aff attach file and it worked, too, as leesa's did.

stop stressing as it sounds like you are.

on postimage like a few others on her i use the share button which then gives me a choice of how i would like the pic displayed. we all use - Hotlink for forums: [url=https://postimg.cc/Y4cTV6Mh][img]https://i.postimg.cc/rpzcDjHC/20190609-131001.jpg[/img ][/url - i have left off the end ] to show what post image link looks like & moved the ] next to [/img otherwise image still shows . we do not use the insert link nor the insert image links. using the forums for pics loading [on some forums] means having pics of a certain size etc otherwise they do not display.

on postimage upload means loading a pic to postimage.

Ok, so I was trying to upload the album URL. I don't understand why you can't simply do this either. I can upload album URLs all day long everywhere else, but this forum is so tightly wound and archaic, you must manually upload each and every single photo in a draconian method. It's pretty frustrating. So I was able to copy and paste the "Image" URL and it works yes, but there has to be a simpler way right ?

Also, Why is there a time limit on editing a post too ?

Still doesn't answer the question why attaching files via "Manage Attachments" give a V-Bulletin error either.

I never type a URL. Why would you when you can copy and paste right ? That ensures the highest degree of accuracy.

Ok. SO I signed up for Post Image around half an hour ago and despite them saying my password will be sent to my email, I'm still waiting for that, so I can't test "Post Image" either. Hopefully by the end of the day, maybe..
This forum is confusing, I must say.

You don't have to sign up to use Postimage.

Just go to their page and click on the 'Do not resize my images' and pick a size from the drop down menu.

Then click on 'Choose images' from your PC, and pick as many images as you like.
