the LS model has an auxillery port for a 3.5mm stereo jack. basically, it lets you plug your iPod into your stereo. the port is located in the glovebox, in the top left corner. you can buy a cable from any Dick Smith store. what you're after is a 3.5mm male/male stereo cable. basically a headphone cable with two pointy ends ;)

I'd recommend 2 things:

the 3.5mm stereo male to 3.5mm stereo male cable, 50cm long.
Ipod wireless remote control with LCD display (like http://www.hammacher.com/publish/73001.asp)

This way your ipod is hidden in the glovebox with no cables running around the car, and you can control your Ipod with a little remote that can be mounted on the dash, or sit in the cupholder

Option
12v DC Ipod car charger (hardwired into ACC, wired into the glovebox.

So you never have to take the ipod from the car for charging.

If you want a cheaper but still neat solution, buy a longer 3.5mm cable and hardwire it through the car into the centre console.
