They don't spend billions, but they spend millions doing up HSV specific ESC calibrations etc. Plus all the HSV specific parts like seats, wheels and lights that need go through the same strenuous testing as any Holden product, parts that need to be tested to meet the same standards as any other Australian sold car...more then just bolting on parts.

This is the exactly the same stuff FPV had to deal with...

...And what separates them from other 3rd-party performance product suppliers.

Possibly OT still ... but HSV is owned by Premoso
https://creditorwatch.com.au/credit/...REMOSO-PTY-LTD

Premoso is owned by TWR Grooup
http://www.pc.gov.au/__data/assets/p...499/sub015.pdf

Which is currently owned by the Walkinshaw Family trust

HSV has 0% Holden Ownership

It should be noted the difference in prices between the GT-F and the GTS !
A shrude purchaser could buy a GT-F and with the money they saved purchase a daily driver that returns under 7 l/100km !

Actual drive away prices are less than 10k though thanks to on roads and greedy Ford dealers. The RRP of these cars are nice to use but the reality is they are to close to make it a suitable argument any more. There are members here that could have bought the HSV and got some change having paid $92k+.
The GTF has a demand the GTS doesn't and as such can be had for very low $90k drive away. Good news for Ford and its owners hopefully in the future.

but to be fair the surplus on the GTF goes to the dealer, not the manufacturer, so it is still worth recognising that Ford have delivered a much cheaper product......

(not that it makes any difference to someone wanting to get into one)

The fact remains that the GTS is the faster car down the quarter mile on a like-for-like test, with it also being the quicker car when corners are involved.
