lol @ learning to drive a manual with forced induction. bunny hopping is bad enough in N/A cars. slow and smooth mate, you can't go wrong. most people learning will subconsciously drop the clutch as soon as the the car starts moving.. just keep that in mind, as it starts to move, keep the steady motion.

good luck and have fun!

That I'd love to see. A vid of Steve bunnyhopping NWOLB down the street.

Great to hear it's nearly done Steve, shame it won't be at GOR. That would have been an awesome maiden cruise for the car

My efforts are now to get it driving by this weekend, but yet again problems have come up. Yesterday we made sure all the brake line fittings were tight and then proceeded to fill the system with fluid. Unfortunately it seems that the fittings used from the solid line that go to the braided section are not sealing. I had the same problem for one of the aftermarket fittings that go to the ABS module, in that the thread on the fitting is not long enough and is bottoming out before it holds the flared end into position. Simple enough fix tho, just need to grab the fittings off the old lines and get them put on the new section (just need to wait for the right tools). Today will be spent securing all loose items such as gas lines, looms etc so they aren't flopping around everywere, so once i get the brake line tools i will be able to fix that straight away and attempt her maiden voyage (unless some other bullsh!t problems arise, which wouldn't surprise me :/)...

Just finished cleaning up all the looms and lines under the car, still need secure a few things in the engine bay on the exhuast side but can't seem to find the clips that hold the gas lines to the firewall :/ Might haveto make something up if they don;t turn up soon as i can't have the lines rubbing against the exhuast :/ Also i believe i have found my vacuum leak, or at least one of them :P Seems the line that runs to the vacuum canister was disconnected under the dash, must of been when i was fiddling around with the looms in the drivers side footwell. Gave the exhuast bolts a good tighten aswell, so hopefully that will elimate or at least minimise my exhuast leak.

Also, today we also bought a 3 inch mandrel bend for the exhuast, so that needs to be welded on before the rear bar can go back. Lastly bought 5 meters of chrome stripping for the bumper inserts, so that will go on soon enough and i'll have some more pics for yas.

LTDHO will be comng around later tonight with the tools to do the brake fittings, so if all goes well, a test drive could be a matter of hours away I'll keep yous updated

I'd be interested in cruising as well, as I have the day off. By tonight my car should be fitted with a 2.5" exhaust as well!

I know! I've done more this month than what I did in the 4.5 years before that! I picked it up for $80 secondhand so it was pretty cheap... and it sounds good

Back on topic, hows NWOLB going? Has it hit the road yet?
