When I bought the Territory, I dealt with the GM Sales. When I signed the contract I said 'I don't want to see the Ming Mole'. He laughed and said that because I dealt with him I wouldn't have to but if I bought off the floor I would otherwise he gives the Sales person a foot up the bum.

I signed on for another car once, which fell through, the after sales lady comes out (she was old as God's Mother FFS - didn't even get a perve), tried to sell me window tinting, when I said no she says it's a large investment and you should protect it, and was a bit shocked when I said, 'you'd think so, but this is the third time I've said no, and the next time I say it isn't going to be as pleasant for you as the previous three'.

I don't want to be rude or nasty, but three times with guilt about protecting my kids by having the windows tinted. Come on.

I bought a new au one tonner and got the paint protection etc thinking I was doing the right thing. Couple months later my son was out on a rainy day and got all crossed up in the esses and speared off into a copse of trees totaly wiping the car out. Happy ending the insurance paid for a new ba ute and the salesman said to get the protection pack, I said "no thanks i had that last time and it doesnt work."

This dealership paint protection question comes up on a regular basis.
I’ve offered my option in other threads, threads that are much newer than the one you've dug up if you care to search.
I still call you out as a spammer.

I understand that this post was started a while ago but I don't believe that should matter?

I found this thread when I was trying to find an answer to the same question and after finding some good info on the topic I decided to share it so that it would help others who came across it in the future.

If there are earlier threads of the same nature then I can understand why you may consider my post a little dated but when I was googling I did not find those threads, I found this one.

I did not 'dig up' anything. I found this thread when I was Googling on the topic.

I don't believe I have done anything wrong by you but it appears you are trying to get me banned?.

All I did was post a link to a blog post which I thought was very informative and helpful on the topic. sheeeesh.

If it is that big of a deal I would encourage someone who has the ability, to delete the said post entirely and I will make sure to never share any links again regardless of how useful others may find them.

“Do yourself a favour and go to a store that sells Meguiar’s car wash products. They are by far the best range of products on the market today and every time I maintain my own car using their products I’m highly impressed.”

Nothing wrong with Mequiar’s if you’re after easy to use affordable cleaning products but no detailer would say “they are by far the best range of products on the market today.” They are far from it.

That’s enough right there to say the links are poor.

Plenty of better advice is offered in other threads on this forum so I agree, delete your post.

I’m always happy to stand corrected if I’m wrong, so If you’re not trying to fool the forum members into going to your website or blogs so you can make money every time they click on the link, then why not do what members do, go to the introduction thread, introduce yourself to the forum and tell us about your cars.
After all that’s what most of us are here for, it’s about our cars and you’ve had a couple of weeks to do it and so far you've only posted here where your links can be found.

I have already attempted to edit/remove the links from that post but I am not sure how. I am only able to edit the last post created. Am I missing something?
