Was your old engine shagged was it ? Or you just wanted a low K engine. Good stuff either way.

Are you using the AU inlet manifold or keeping the ED one? I'm looking at a similar conversion very soon, and I'm just a little unsure about a few things.

with a bit of luck tomorrow night, we will have gearbox, tailshaft in... change the pulleys on the PS pump... grind some of the tensioner housing for the belt to have more clearance...

grind the ghey tiny exhaust flange they used to 2 1/2 inch. fit cat, and extractors, steering arm, radiator, hoses, thermofan switch... that doesnt leave much more to be done on the bad girl, and then we can kick it over...

there is a couple of more hoses which must also be connected before starting it, but they are only super quick things to do...

i dont think i will sleep much tonight... i think i might have to have a few coldies

Why did you keep the EA-ED manifold on it?

the motor i bought didnt come with the manifold... and also, i think way to much stuffing around to fit it. plus i dont plan to be using the long runners much... hehe...

and supposedly this manifold flows better than the short runners do on the bbm, and top end is what i am looking for...

it has crossed my mind though, as it wouldnt look to bad, especially if i took it to ford for a service... but i would prolly get some tech who loves holden, and he wouldnt give a about the mods...

So you should be ready to fire tonight you say? Is the cam you're using in this motor bigger than the one in the old motor, and if so have you sorted the chip for it? And finnaly, after all this effort wouldn't you just want to spontainiously combust if i still beat you this weekend?!
