You know, that's a hard one.
Sales managers would rather salespeople sell the car based on its merits as well as aftersales service etc then just talk price.
Salespeople attend training sessions and days to be made into to people that beleive in the product they sell, its features, advantages etc. So having a customer say they only want a price can get depressing after a while. This in turn creates laziness (and bad service).
However, based on experience, this attitude should be customised to the individual customer. Some people will not want to talk anything but price. While others will want to know the features.
It's a game of trial and error I guess.

There are no bad dealers.Just dealers we decide to buy from and dealers we do not. Stretch...Let you wallet do the talking . I have had an experience long ago when I walked into an unnamed ford dealership with 50 k in a suitcase. Because I was wearing work clothes they never even looked at me let alone talked.If they dont talk to me then how can I give them the cash? My feet did the walking and so did the cash!!
