I'll run it over to you once my new car arrives from Singapore. The guy was desperate to sell it at a knock down price....he put it into a container last month so it will be here shortly

I trust it's not because they are a bit cheaper and you feel you have a slightly better chance of actually getting it!

Can you wait a couple of weeks mate? I've just sold my car to an English businessman who has paid through paypal and the car is being shipped to him.

He has paid full price so I want to make sure he is happy, after that I can give the ok for a new GT.

Now in order to get this sorted I have had to set up a trust account (in the Cayman Islands) to get the ordering and I don't want to have extra GTs hanging around because people have given me wrong addresses so all you have to do is send $50 to my trust (me) account and shortly your free GT will be delivered......

LOL! I hope COD is OK with you.

Aside from giving Ford the best monthly sales stats that Holden would NEVER beat...

Wouldn't buying 50,000 FPV's lower their resale a fair bit?

I'll cancel my last order as I realise I don't have enough storage for that many new cars.

So instead I'll have just one GT in red with no stripes if it's the new model with the following options:
- Premium brake callipers
- Leather seats
- Floor mats
- Reverse camera
- Satellite navigation
I also want tinted windows

Hang on Tony, Charles Stanley Esq has promised me the same amount of money from his cancer patient. Last month I already sent him the $5000.00 through Western Union to set up the account, but I'm still waiting. Should be any day now. Funny thing though, is every time I ring to ask for the money I get Charles Stanley Esq's lovely assistant who's from Ghana, western part of Africa.
Anyway, maybe there's two cancer patients who want to donate their money to us.

P.S. I hope it comes soon though, I just ordered a 737 (easier to park).
Oh well, I'll just pop down the road to visit the ATM and check my balance; hopefully there's $155,600,000.00 more in it than yesterday.

obviously havent had any experience of the Ford (VDO Dayton) GPS system have you? Even if it is free, its useless.

Oh and i'll take a GT-P in Ego with Black stripes and bonnet decals. Manual. Reverse sensors, bluetooth, full sports exhaust, shaker, delete spoiler and replace with GT-E lip spoiler, darkest legal tint all round, delete model badges at rear. that should do i reckon.

No I haven't had any experience with Ford's GPS system before. But I'll take your word for it though, if I'm ever looking to by a new Ford in future, I'll know not worry about the GPS system.

Obviously neither have you.

Ford and FPV have been using a DENSO system since BA.

It is far superior to any of the toys sold by gar-nav-tom in the area of actual navigation. It does not get confused if you do not do what it wants you to or the sat coonstellation is impaired in any way.

It is just not a gollywog touch screen dingle dangle gizmo with lots of flashing lights, strange noises and mp3/iphone/xbox integration.

Both the SX and SY Territory use a VDO Dayton version that uses WhereIs maps. Uses a pointless remote control, really not user friendly interface, slow and is not upto date. The updated maps means reinstalling the software which is $500 from Ford. Which is **** considering the extra you pay for it from factory.

I wouldnt see why there would be a different one in the Falcons considering the territory is essentially a jacked up Falcon.

Please correct me if im wrong but thats the one on we had issues with when i was a Tech for Ford.

Well I had a factory satnav in my GT-P and F6, both were Denso and both used WhereIs maps from....wait for it......WhereIs.

Updates were about $300 (or $1 of you have a mate with one a a DVD burner) and were "extremely" difficult to update.

1) open little hole in front of DVD reader in boot.
2) press eject button on DVD reader.
3) remove old DVD and replace with new DVD
4) close DVD tray.
5) close hole.

http://www.whereismaps.com/buy-map-u...y=AU&device=93

Strange that the people who make the maps think it is a Denso as well.....

True the $300 update is more than the $150 for a gar-nav-tom but then rego for a GT is a lot more than a Hyundai Getz......

well mate im telling you, the ones we had issues with when i worked for Ford where definately VDO Dayton. Factory fit into fleet vehicles. The software is $500 when bought from Ford. Maybe it was just a series of them but thats what i dealt with.

i just reviewed my workshop manuals from Ford. The territory and falcon systems are different. The BA/F system is different to the FG too. I appologise, i thought they were the same, the only ones i played with were on Territory's.

What sort of bargaining strategy is that? Youre supposed to enhance the offer in some way, not hobble it.

Yep, flappist is 100% correct. I've owned 2 AU2 LTD's which had the VDO Dayton system; in one of them we replaced it once, in the other we replaced it three times. Thing would get lost and the screen would freeze.

Later, updated with a BA, BAmk2 and a BF LTD.
All of them had the Denso system and never had a problem. The BF one is still working, although the map updates are around $330.00 including GST.

Anyway, I went to the bank yesterday and I'm still waiting...............
