Not sure if this is has been mentioned yet or allowed however this company specializes in doing Sync 1,2,3 conversions.

Yea, there's a few Yank websites like that, but none compatible with the Falcon. They say there's a bit of a difference. None of their cars are a direct comparison enough to do a straight swap.

Same applies for your Terry. Won't work.

I think we need someone from ASL and the like to become importers of used screens fron the US and to also sort out the conversion? I think there would be a small market but probably profitable considering the anoint of sync 2 cars around.

Currently working on a Sync 3 for the FGX/SZ2 Territory i managed to get a cheap screen & Apim only issue might be the brackets i'll keep you guys posted.

Should be able to take the existing brackets and put them in the new screen.

While we can use the same brackets from the FGX unit it all comes down to if the holes are in the correct location on the sync 3 screen.

Guys just a update i have successfully made Sync 3 work in a FGX/SZ 2 Territory i do have some minor bugs to sort . Which ill attack soon so far apple car play and android auto do work. These units needs some serious software modification to work in the falcon.

Did you just post your working photos on Facebook? Seen a photo of an SZ2 ICC running Sync3

. But the photo appeared to be on a test bench outside the vehicle? What are the bugs that you ran into ?

Correct that photo was actually taken in my FG Falcon as i was doing a software update on the apim. Bugs might be from the old software on the unit
V 2.0 Software which has now been updated to V 3.0 and 2017 Maps. I'll do some more testing today.

The icc was originally a FGX Sync 2 after a lot of hours i managed to get to work in the FG with just a can bus module and a new airbag module.

Today i found out i cannot get to work in the FG as i cannot deactivate drive in motion lock.

So this morning i attached to the territory did some more modifications and can now say it's working 100% in my SZ2 Territory. I'll give it a week before i give it the ok need to be certain no little surprises come up.

Awesome work! I saw the facebook post, Which Sync3 unit did you get? As in from what car? I'd assume it was cheap from a wreck.

I assume the original FGX brackets worked alright? or custom brackets required?

Yes, Forscan works very well on the BF-FG-FGX Falcons.

Guy's I'll answer all questions very soon.

I need to make sure everything is working as per normal before i give any type of information out. While i have modified the sync 3 to work on the SZ 2. I have come across some teething issues yesterday i'm trying to sort out while these are very minor issues this needs to be 100%.

Only information i will give out at the moment is you can use the FGX brackets on the sync 3 screens.

Once i am happy after testing i'll give an update on it very soon

Yes and no. It will say usb hub not supported while it will still work on Android Auto Apple Car Play will not work. Your better off with a new media hub for Sync 3

I know that Apple Carplay works over Bluetooth. But I don't know if Sync 3 specifically supports this functionality.

Sync 3 does not support this feature.
