Driveaway are starting from $66,850. Cheapest I found. My dealer in Canberra is selling them for $67,000 driveaway. They have 2 unsold.

Seen a white one at a dealer in Perth yesterday already modded with cold air,cat back exhaust and flash tuned for $52000. Had an option of a different wheel for $2500 they are Black and looked really good

Not an RS that one. And I have plenty of pics...

Its a normal 5 door XR5 with RS badges and the full suite of Graham Goode Racing mods and a set of Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 rims. 305hp at the fly-ish

Built up by Black Mac Performance from a McInerney Ford demo vehicle to show off the products and mods available for the XR5

The guy that wanted a 5 door RS might be interested...

These are a really great car to have running around - good to see Ford putting out some performance orientated stuff other than your usual Falcon based offerings.

The one thing that annoys me about these is that they dont come in a 5 door - if I could get a 5 door in white I reckon I'd be sold. Well until I had to work out how to pay for it anyway

Im the opposite mate, i prefer the 3 door and if the XR5 came in 3 door id have had that

As far as I know we have the Green one all sparkley in the showroom right now unless the owner has picked it up today? The pictures don't give that colour justice, up close it's almost iridescent. Amazing to look at, especially with the blacked out wing, diffuser and front bar.

After driving around Europe in a Ford Transit for the last 6 months I can vouch for how fast these things go past on the motorway and how glorious they sound. Look mean as hell following you too.

If they were AWD I'd buy one in an instant. The idea of all that power to the front wheels isn't something that is appealing. Especially should you want more power down the track..

It is a little disappointing that there is still no cruise control, but with curves like that it could be missing the steering wheel and I'd still love it..

They certainly look the goods but I would balk on the price. I don't care how exclusive it is, I'd not hesitate for a second if they were asking that much and it was AWD.

Poked around a little at an XR5 when I was car shopping a few years ago - marked it off because it didn't have cruise control (can't believe it still doesn't in the RS...?), ended up paying around $60k for an R32 - could have gone the GTi but didn't want FWD and happily ponied up an extra $15k for it.

A mate was just quoted $75k on road for a blue one at Sinclair Ford. Excuse given for the premium was "where else would you find a blue one". That is disgraceful!

What is worse is that he is considering it! I think paying that much for a fwd four seater ford hatchback is crazy!!!!

I'd much prefer a GT coyote for that money or even an evo or wrx

Try Tara Motors in Bega. I believe they may have a blue available.

Absolutely awesum machines ! but the price here is OTT, what are the euros paying matter of interest ?
They look the business hands down - can't see the big issue re cruise - unless your on freeways everyday yer but most would be used in the citys anyway or track.

I can drive for 5+ hours a day, without cruise I would need ankle transplants.

As a traditionalist V8 rear wheel drive loving front wheel drive hating old fashioned kind of guy, I too have seen one of these in the flesh.

It's an absolute stunner. As said in post #1 the pics don't do it justice.

Awesome car. I was lucky to see one in the flesh when i was in London last year. It was green and like everyone has said the pics don't do the colour justice.
Will be great to see one on aussie roads
