EF_Machine has your new cam made any difference to the exhaust note of the car? just that at the moment I am lovin how my car is sounding and I really dont want it too change the note too much if I put a different cam in

not really. put the cam in and it ran like a bucket of ****. went to the dalton dyno day to check my AFR's and it was pretty bad. i was fouling spark plugs, blowing more smoke than a deisel and would mis-fire all over the shop. we all thought it was the chip for sure. turned out my cam was in the complete wrong position : . it was at factory zero, and it needs to be advanced a fair bit.

still managed 134 RWKW with it running like that and on a 35 deg day : . (those who were at the dyno day, will know how bad it was running. they needed oxygen masks! : )

Second that mate! There's a 1604 grind before you get to the 1636.

Yeah mines a bit louder and definately more burbly both on idle and cruising. I've still got a resonator on my system so its not overly loud.

Built To Rape Solenoids. The left the S out cos BTR93LE is better than BTRS93LE. Geddit?

i'll start a thread bout it when i get it back. and hopefully have a dyno run done after chrissy.

Yeah, listen to Yagz.
for the price of a transmission cooler, get one.
bigger the better.

i'd recommend one on a stock car.

It's not so much that a cooler is needed because you give your car a hard time, it's needed to prolong your transmission life. ~$150 to fit a cooler, or ~$2000 for a reconditioned 4 speed.

Especially in the hot summer we're gunna have, you don't want your radiator cooling the transmission fluid.

Transmission coolers should be standard on ALL ford 4 speeds. The problem was cost cutting. Unless you had a tow pack from factory, no cooler was fitted, because it wasn't deemed 'necessary'.

You should see some of the cooked transmission we get in at the workshop. Nasty sight..

Where should i be looking for decent priced trans coolers?
And should it be genuine ford or are aftermarkets fine to use?
