Going on Sat, booked my tickets a week or so ago. Looks like it should be pretty good, just hope that it lives up to all the hype.

The past few seasons have been below par, apart from a few eps really.

When the Simpsons first came out my parents didn't want me watching them because the show was "too American" and all that bollocks. Plus I was like 8 or 9 or something, and didn't have my own TV, and the parents absolutely LOATHED it (without watching it mind you) so there was no chance it was getting put on the TV in the lounge, they were always watching something else.

Became a different story when I was 15ish and finally got my own TV though, they didn't really care what I watched on it.

Just got back from the movie. damn funny. and make sure you wait right untill the end of the credits, it's nothing special but there's just a little extra. I give it 7/10, just because most of the funny bits are the commercials.

Saw it today, was pleasantly surprised. There was plenty of comedy gold, something that's been lacking from their episodes for the last couple of seasons. Well worth a watch.

Went and saw it Wednesday evening (got some special free tickets) and as soon as it started, (for those that have seen it will know about the opening line in the cinema) I knew it was going to be good. In fact I'm hanging out to see it again. I'm sure there were one or two jokes I missed the first time round!

A couple of the earlier post suggested the tv show may not last much longer after the movie, if I remember correctly they still have a contract for another two or three seasons after this year.

But even if it ends in a year or two you have to give the writers/producers etc credit for what they have done. 17 or so years is a bloody good effort.
