Yeah I am in Croydon North. Power off once as Geez Louise said. The weather is weird as sun still finds its way through all the dark clouds. My eye was victim to the wind. Dirt was blown up into my eye.

Take care everyone.
P.S Radio just said dust storms in CBD!

I've been at work all day, going to be an interesting drive home along wellington road from Narre Warren.

I love a good storm, should make for some cool photos.

I got home from Monash fine, but I'm glad I'm no further along Centre Road, as there was a tree down just 100m past my turn-off. Police were directing traffic, but I was glad I didn't get caught up in that!

I just drove from Canberra to Sydney and the wind was hammering on the way back.
Made for a lovely drive pointing a 6" lifted 4x4 into a head wind and also getting buffeted by side winds!

Bloody hell, though I'd give my car a quick spray over cause it was looking a bit dusty, soon as I was about to dry it off dust comes flying down the street and turns to mud on the wet car.

In Croydon.

Had power out a couple of times - sky is looking very nasty at the moment (lots of dirt in the clouds!) Watch out, my poor black Corolla wont be so black if it rains.

i work as a rigger, and put up precast pannels, we were putting up 13m pannels tis morning before the wind squalled up ( and before we lost the shelter from the wall we put up yesterday... just for the safety natzies)

and while sitting in the shed having lunch it was not a pretty site seeing the wind buffetting the wall... the whole lot was shaking... like quickly went around to check all the bolts were tight then got outta there... on the way back to the yard seen where the building fell over this morning... not a good thing unfortunately some one had to die for the lack of safety.

on the other hand my ute goes is at ford getting its 3000km looking over and rust repair... so it should survive with out any damage from the trees in my yard...

Here are pics from Croydon North. Wind gusts up to 83 km/h.
Pics do not show how bad it actually is!

Here is a pic of the tree, when it hit the trampoline it bounced! We have lost our front gate too...I am worried that the REALLY big tree next to the house is going to uproot!! Best pic I could get of it without getting wet!

Yeah my backyard is dry. Used to have lovely grass but... water restrictions. Does give us a better view I must admit!

Did a fair bit of driving and other stuff, At one stage 1 half of Eastland S.C was blacked out, well assumed so lol, and so many intersections without lights + without police, and while driving to Healesvile there was no way you could do 100kmh on the Maroondah Hwy, 80kmh felt safe though

In Wagga today we had bloody fast wind all day and then a dust storm. Was at work this afternoon in an aircraft hangar, walked outside and one of the large industrial waste bins had been blown over by the wind. Hasn't stopped at all yet.
