As for drives? Perhaps a day trip to the Jenolan caves, then return the long way via Oberon??? That would be a long day, but the drive is nice and scenic.

Stop in at Leura / Katoomba for a late breky / early lunch. A Cafe style restaurant called "Common Ground" has an excellent menu and the prices are great as well.

Great cruise but your looking at a 6 hour return trip.

what about a day trip down to Wollongong via the National park & Stanwell tops.

Its around a 4 hour return trip, & some awsome roads & scenery.

Anyone locals here that know the best roads???

If your driving down from brissy you could come down via the old pacific or down via Wisemans ferry & come into sydney via Galston Gorge

Wildfire is a posh place (you know... big plates, tiny servings, zig zags of sauce oh I mean 'jus' for artistic flair and a menu that has very little English on it). The churrasco is the only thing worth getting, the ultimate hunger satisfier for the most ravenious carnivore! They have an online menu, look it up ;)

Ps, Pancakes is also open 24hrs

Glebe Markets is the best for hipster kind of stuff.

Head to King Street Newtown for a beer and a feed - good Vietnamese and great shopping if you're into a bit of vintage stuff

Last time i ate there I had chosen the Choc-chip-mud chocolate pancakes with chocolate sauce and icecream for desert so I decided on a ceasar salad for dinner (not that healthy I know lol) which was really good. And then proceeded to eat half my girlfriends rack or pork ribs too - they were really good!

Service wasn't too bad either. I think it might have taken a big longer than your usual wait for the food but it was damn good. It was packed so understandable.

It seems there is one opening on the Gold Coast soon too

I'm hungry just looking at the website lol. OO lunch time

Edit: I'm pretty sure I had them put cream on the pancakes too haha

There is one on Campbelltown as well ;)

I can vouch that the Pancakes are worth lining up for. Yes, the service is slow during peak times but you go there to eat not make friends with the waiter.

Anyway.. We have similar testes Fev, my standard meal is the chocolate pancakes (devils delight????) and the chicken caesar salad ;)

Friday and Sat nights there is a line down the steps and onto the footpath, with an hr wait or more. There is a reason for this! ;)

Hit kings cross mate.

I'm a Sydney-sider.

Candy's Apartment on Bayswater Road Darlinghurst is without a doubt my favourite club there.

Also plenty of other clubs... Or strippos if that's what you prefer in the cross.

There is King St Wharf or Cockle bay wharf if you prefer something a little more classy eg. Cargo Bar, Bungalow 8 etc.

The Ivy at Wynyard is also ace if you wanna see Andrew O'keefe rolling around on the floor smashed... Just wear a suit or similar lol

The Rocks is good for pubs/bars. The Argyle is a favorite, but dress nice.

There is also Oxford St/Surry Hills area. Plenty of super trendy bars around there but be careful as you may end up in a club that does not match your interests!!

Rocket have their open day on the 19th of November and the Retro drags are at WSID on the 20th

I'm not a huge fan of being shafted at Rocket but the open day is always a good day

Sounds good.
You'll also find in the NSW events, an event organised by Tony every couple of weeks at Orange Grove. Every second Friday or something like that. Meet and Greet. Ive been there for each one so far and its a good half a dozen that turns up for a yarn.

Yep every year they have one the day before the Nostalgia drags

Always a great event, I'm still waiting for a leave pass as I will be at the drags the following weekend as well so it's a big ask

Also rodders life have their nostalgia drags the following Sunday and that lines up with the last Saturday night of the month and a pie at Harry's in Liverpool
