You can go tyre kick all you want.

The car will go for alot of money. You don't need to go and look at it. You're not buying an EA with a fairmont interior and a rusty body. You're buying a full GRA Twin system, NC XR engine, T5 gearbox, and all the turbo gear.

I wouldn't use that car if it was the last car on earth. Ugliest car EVER.

Just bid, don't waste the guys time.

Anyone notice the rear wheels? Factory 6.5in Mags dont sit that far out, it must be running spacers or hub adaptors.

I only bought mine for the gearbox and AIT compliance plate. :

Tremec FTW.

Depending on the ending price you could probably get half your money back then still have a usuable turbo kit and gas system. _2: But if you sell your fairmont to buy it where are you going to put the turbo system?

The engine bay looks a bit crowded with 2 turbos. He is probably selling because the spark plugs need doing and its too much effort to get at the back ones!

Oh and whats with the 35 spline axles? Can these fit into an EB XR8 centre?

Someone ask him for dyno sheets and when the car starts coming on boost.

A T04 can be anything though, from something tiny to something that can flow 1000hp and beyond.

not looking too bad. I wouldnt pay more than 5 though... otherwise your spending thousands on a rusted up EA.

Parts alone would go for $5k though. Easy

The "kit" on the front bumper looks like a piece of sheet metal. Can't say im a fan, but would be a good project.

Oh yeah - T5 FTL!

I wouldnt mind a go of that EA...be interesting to see when it comes on boost, as those turbos look about the same size as mine, but I only have the one...

And WTF is with that wastegate looking thing on the intake pipe near the throttle body? Is that a BOV?

Looks like a Turbosmart BOV. The exhaust housings look pretty big on those T04's for a twin setup, would be interesting to see when they spool.

Assuming the pumps and exhaust manifold are in good nick, would be a nice project. Tidy up the piping, re-route some of the hoses and put a more subtle front bar on it.

hahahaha, u were a bit nervous too shaun

the only thing i as concerned with is the heat in the engine bay, it looked as if the gas converters were scorched, and he brake booster and reservoir were knackered from burning (scorched)

with a bit of work it'd be an awesome car.
goes pretty damn well, considering the size of the turbos, it spools up pretty good.

incredibly hard, hot night and i've only been in 1 other turbo eseries that was manual, 3rd gear pulls very nicely.

the GRA gear has been setup fairly well too, the owner agrees with the opinion of Swift :P

by the sounds of it he didnt know how to drive it or was to scared of the boost
or you could read the description properly, and note that the clutch was slipping in third gear at about 3500rpm. And that pass was on snowflakes, with re92's not exactly good for traction, oh and it had a high comp head, and standard cam.. oh and i was the driver. :the_finge

I built this car with him, was never ment to look good, just go hard.

boost is smooth, and comes on nicely. no, your not paying for an ea, thats just the shell. and it's not as rusty as everything thinks.

i love how everyone can judge, when it's clear that noone knows about it. now it has decomped head, custom cam, it's now on 12 pound, stick a puck clutch in it, and it will rocket. stick an auto with a high stall and 15 psi, and you will hit easy 11's. lower on a good cool night.

this makes power in 3rd, 1st and second virtually don't exist, just smokes em.

and the front bar? that was a one night fiberglass job we did because 'mr plod' didn't appreciate a cooler and piping hanging out the bottom.

for all those who bag it? come for a drive... proof is in the pudding. :

because it is still cheap, and he said if i want it, bid on it. it's still money, and none of it was mine. so i put a few bids on it, but now i'm maxed out. and now because i'm maxed out, i will be a good mate, and help him sell it here. (plus the missus had said thats enough)

contrary to what others might think, i'm not quite as knieving as what conclusions people may jump to...

it's quite simple. i wanted the car, but now i'm maxed out. and i was willing to bid on ebay for it, because it was still cheaper than what he offered it to me for.

(not that my financial issues are anyone elses concern, but hey, if it stops people jumping to conclusions)
