do you have a new spigot bearing Dezza ? also all the bits that attach the cable to the pedal, the clevis and bushes, spring etc etc. Does the gearbox have oil, few things to think about, post up if you have any questions and tell us exactly what parts you DO have.

I don't have a drill so if someone wants to bring one that'll be helpful.

What does the spigot bearing look like? I can try and get one at Ford tomorrow if need be. I've got pics of the parts so hopefully that helps. I'll get oil for it. If you can see from the photos that I'm missing anything, please let me know

i don't see a spigot bearing in those pics, I think they are $18 or there abouts from Ford, it is a small bearing slightly bigger than a 50 cent piece and it taps into the back of the crank where the flywheel bolts on. I'd probably recommencd getting a new one even if you have one.

I also don't see the clutch cable clevis and bushes or the spring, i can get a pic of what they look like tommorrow after work. I'll bring some HTB Grease and the special allen key for the oil plugs too.

I've got a 7,8,9,13,14 mm spanner, a busted socket driver and no experience, but am planning to manualise my EB sometime in the future, hopefully before my auto dies (not long now!). I would like to know how it's done, but I have to work arvo shift, starting at 3pm. So as a result, I won't drink too much of your beer, won't drink ANY beam (go the bundy - I should really buy a ute!) and won't eat too much either (will be hungover from ****-up on friday), but will be able to supply a near infinite amount of 'grunt work'. PM me the address, and hopefully I will be able to make it and help in any way I can, and learn whatever I can for mine.

Thanks,
Sean.

Thanks Krys. The worrying thing is I haven't seen it done before either, so it's all new to me.

Damo, was this what you were talking about. I still don't see a spring, so that pic would still be appreciated

yeah that is the clevis. The spring is just a seperate bit that hooks onto the side of the clutch pedal and then attaches to a little hook thingy on the firewall.

Thanks. So if I go into the Ford dealer and ask for the spring that goes from the clutch pedal to the firewall, that should be enough info?

The clutch pedal spring isn't necessary. The clutch itself keeps the pedal up. The spring just keeps the pedal at a respectable height.
