Meh, I've seen quite a few of these in Dubai. At 1st look I was quite excited to see one but after a good hard look, and a sit in one, I was much less impressed. I think it's the sort of car that looks awesome in some photos from some angles, but a walk around is ultimately disappointing.....

Keep your Camaro, Aussie ute's top gear STEPHEN OTTLEY
July 23, 2010

Sadly, it seems Australians won't get the chance to drive the Chevrolet Camaro, despite the fact it is built on Holden know-how.

But it doesn't matter because Australia already has a faster two-door General Motors sports car: the HSV Maloo. At least that's according to TV hit Top Gear.

The popular British program tested the Camaro on its latest show, broadcast last weekend in Britain (but not in Australia - hint, hint, Channel Nine).

After presenter Richard Hammond decided the car isn't as good as the more expensive Mercedes-Benz AMG E63, it was handed over to the show's "tame racing driver", The Stig.

He took the V8-powered Camaro around the track in a time of 1:27.9, which was good enough for 85th on the lap-time chart. That put it ahead of more expensive and exotic cars including the BMW Z4 and Mercedes-Benz AMG CL65.

We couldn't help but notice that several places up the lap time chart was the HSV Maloo. Its time was 1:27.1.
