none of my guides are broken so im not gonna worry about it. guides came to a total of 48 chain was 14. both non geniune

Got all my parts yeste. I got front timing case cover. Timing case gasket. Timing chain and rocket cover gasket. That came to a total of $220
A friend is coming over tonight to help me with the timing chain then I'm away. Hopefully I'll get it started tonight |

tried to fit tonight. with the sump attached. and failed. so 2morro nite im going to try to fit the timing case after lowering the sump a few mm. after doing this life should be easy and everything should go super......... i hope

Finished at 3 am seems to b not leaking still only early days tho. Pretty challenging but I feel proud that I achieved this on my own most of the time. Sure I made a few calls but normal inwould of had dad there the whole way. Kudos to me

realise this is super old.
still leaking from the front crank seal i believe. i tapped it in with a hammer moving around. a friend said i should use a socket or something fitting to make sure its in. any suggestions/ideas as to what i can use. |

you didnt pinch the front seal did u when u slipped the balancer over it

dont beleive so. when i put the balancer on i didn't have the car in gear. so it was sticking out a bit didn't leak.
realized it was sticking out a bit so i nipped it up and now its leaking. so i've done something. |

It wasn't fully tightened when I tightened it in gear it moved back a few mm

Did you put sealant in the key way like I said way back? If you don't, it leaks oil through the keyway.

so how do you put the seal in? do i need to use special tools? the guy @ sprint auto said u just push it in with your hands. its an all rubber design.

Put a new seal in seems ok.
When taking the balancer off tho it looks like it's pulled the outer half off slightly on an angle. The inside spins fine but the outsides a bit wobbly is this mega bad? |

Really? So it'll b ok you rekn? It's only the belt part that's a bit pulled of. That part that is bolted on is still fine.
