Well i had a slight scare on sunday afternoon. We were taking some photo's and a short clip of my old mans gt and my car. This is what happens when you decide to rev the car a bit for the camera!!!!

Didnt know exactly where it was coming from, but we suspected a welsh plug......Anyway took it in and its all good, car's coolant system is fine and i was actually dreading that i wouldnt be able to make it next friday. Turns out that there were several cracks in a few of the coolant hoses along with the waterpump screwing up. Funny how the whole coolant system screwed up all at once though.

I'l be there for sure now, if a few members are going to meet up early i wouldnt mind tagging along. I can get to calder park at around 6, so if anyone is planning to be there a little bit earlier let me know.

oh, and this is the clip that caused the massive leak :voldar02:

Nice Exhaust Sound ...

Well I think we should try to meet up as much as possible as we are supposed to be going there as a club .

I was thinking around 5pm. Does that sound good to everyone and leave there at say 5.30pm and meet late comers at carpark entrance of Calder.

There is one on each side. I was thinking of meeting on the side coming from the city to Calder

We really need a specific time and place to meet, so we have a goal to aim for... plus it helps knowing so I know what time I should leave work...

So are we all ok with the maccas on the Greensborough bound side of the ring road at 5pm will be the place to be?

Well I finish work at 4 (not 4:30), but I could finish early if I ask nicely I guess. It would take me say 40mins to get from Geelong to Maccas on the Ring Road (I assume you are talking about the ones near Sunshine...the bit that stinks like shyte whenever you drive past).

If so I reakon I could make that by 5:30..calder is only 20mins or so from there.

Ah its annoying me that I cant think of what the maccas I am talking about is near, its the first one on the left after I get on the Ringroad coming from Geelong.

IIRC its after the Boundry RD exit, and before the Fitzgerald RD exit, going Greensborough bound.

nah i dont, but you know the overflow rubber line coming out of the coolant bottle, you just cable tie a coca cola bottle or something to your wiring loom at the back were the brake booster is and plonk the hose in it !

its the overflow hose that the water comes out. If the car is boiling the coolant, thats where the expansion of water comes out.

Obviously you have not seen what happens on a prepped track when coolant or other liquids get under your tyres

It has been bought to our attention that some time in the past E-series members have played up a little at Calder park, although appears minor, we still have to consider the club.
As it is a venue that we wish to use again in the future we would prefer to keep a good reputation.
If any member Misbehaves in any way to draw unwanted attention from either Calder Park Workers OR the Police will be given your details, also if warrented you will have your privileges removed from the forums.
