Hi, my name is Alex and I am from Louisville, Kentucky in the states. I am a certified Blue Oval nut. I currently own 5 different Fords. I have a 68 Mustang Fastback that has a 302, c4 with 3500 stahl, 31 spline 9 inch with 4.71 gears. I also have a 65 Mustang coupe that was my first car. It is being restored for my wife to drive. I also have a 68 Torino that is tubbed with a 460. I also have a 72 Gran Torino Sport, it is a 351C 2 barrel car. The last vehicle is a 77 Bronco. I haven't figured out how to post pics on a thread yet. There are pictures of them in the Gallery. I have a strong interest in Australian Fords. There are alot of cars that I have never seen before. One day I hope to add an XA XB or XC Falcon Coupe to my collection in the future. Thank you for letting me be part of your site.

Just a short post to say hi. I've just joined the forum and bought my first Ford. Come to think of it, it is my first car forum I think. I post a bit on some bike forums and martial art forums, but I'm looking forward to learning a bit about our new Ford (2005 BA XR6) and joining in on some interesting discussions. The XR6 is a replacement for my wife's Subaru Liberty. We have had it for the past 10 years and it has served us well, but at over 300'000klm it is getting a bit long in the tooth. Initially we were going to buy another Subaru, but we had a look at other options as well. My wife liked the Fords, so this is the way we went.

Thanks guy's. We still have the Subaru. I've just pulled it off the road. I need to do some paint repairs, pull the engine out and replace a few seals and the timing belt and then put some new brakes on the front. I don't really know what I'll do with it, it wouldn't be worth much given that it is a 98 model with 300'000klm+ on it, but it is an RX Bilstein Special and handles nicely and is very comfortable to drive. So at the moment it might just keep living here and just be the loaner car to the kids.
Excuse the avatar, It is one I made for a bike forum. When I pick the new Ford up I'll take some photos and make a new one.

Welcome friend.
Its not a bad forum where i waste some time at work looking at. Go say hello to the B series threads, you will find heaps of info and have a decent chat to other like minded people. Chuck up some pics when you get a moment.

Hi Guys
I know this is late because I have been on hre for a while but I thought after reading another member's grizzle about people coming on and asking a question and then leaving that it was rude of me not to say gday to the community. I joined mid last year when the talk of the new SC5.0 in FPV's really got hot to both find out and share information I was getting from an inside source. I have had a couple of nice fords before, one being a 75 Mark I escort coupe with a worked cosworth 2 litre that frieghtened more than one or two v8's around the Perth streets before the dreaded fun police slapped a cannary on her and at the time I was at uni and the build took all the funds, the pits were being so unreasonable and I literally (well not quite) cried when she went off on the back of a tow truck to her new owner that I still to this day feel like he actually had me pay him to take it. A few years later I bought an ex-chaser xd, with 351, top loader and disc to disc nine inch conversaion. The body work was absolutely perfect in a sno white. I installed a GT shaker, a custom white frill, and black polish chrome and a set of GT 12 slotters and had a fire breathing stroker motor built by AJN Automotive in Malaga, WA. She was a jet but stayed with me a only a little while until other things became priorities. Since that time I have had several quick cars, a 2003 STi tuned by Maximum Motorsport that was a low 12 second car, a supercharged 6 litre VZ SS ute that was a barrell of fun to drive and most recently a series 3, R33 GTR, with a full nismo spec motor that would run low 11's all day long. In October last year I ordered a 2011 GTE in Edge. I have been designated build 050 for 2011. It is on this month's build list and I am expecting delivery mid March. I have ordered a set of Schwert SC1 rims, 8.5 and 9.5 front and rear respectively, with mat gun metallic spokes and a machine silver polish flat lip. As soon as she arrives, she will be off to see Simon at XFT for a tune, catback and (if available) an intecooler, as well as installation of a yet to be determined spring/shock or coilover package, true trak diff assembley and rear end bushes. Keep an eye for the build thread. And lastly I would just like to sincerely thank everyone on here that has listened to my questions and given me advice and assistance to date, it is greatly appreciated. Cheers Simon |

It has been awhile since I first introduced myself in this thread (feel like I am part of the furniture around here!) but Fled74 posted on another welcome thread with a bit of a template. Hi guys I'm new to the forum, name is Matt, currently doing up a 351c 79' XD Falcon which was previously a 6, it's just a mild one with a decent cam and stall and a few other goodies, aiming for stock appearance so Mr Plod leaves me alone, will start a thread of the car soon with pics and vids, I tend to knock around the XFalcon forum a little under the same name, cheers guys =)
Regards Matt... |

Dave, posts in The Bar don't count towards your posts.
I'm not convinced the OP is legit though. His 'homepage' is listed as a back link submitter that is only ~30 days old. Google found me this: http://www.projecthoneypot.org/ip_174.142.90.4 Which isn't necessarily the same guy, but someone spamming the same links.
