I'm hoping to get a collection of old working computers & consoles at some stage, most likely when I get my own place as there's no room at my parents place unfortunately.

I hope to have them all available to connect up quickly with a bunch of games for them. Sure, emulators on PC are fun, but nothing is as good as cranking out River Raid on an original Atari 2600 or Super Mario Bros. on a Nintendo Entertainment System

If time, money & space permit I'd like to get some of the old arcade machines too, upright & table top. Stuff you sometimes see in an old Fish & Chip shop that hasn't been redecorated since 1982, the amount of ancient (but still working) arcade machines I've wanted to walk out with is amazing, I didn't think they still existed!

I have an Atari 2600 & Sega Megadrive here, somewhere, as well as an Apple Macintosh Plus and some C64 stuff laying round.

Yeah, I'm a geek, but I enjoy it!

Hey Riksta, I think we have something in common here

You might like a few of my goodies from the 70's and 80's
I have a working Mattell Intellivision console that I got for christmas in 1983. Unfortunately I lost some of the games during the mid 80's when our new house was built.
The controllers and antenna cable may need some work though.
It's sitting on top of my mint condition Pioneer Laserdisc player.
This one is the original brown woodgrain model not the Intellivision II
And yes I have the intellivoice module and may still have B17 bomber

Along with that, an arcadia 2001 system with about ten games
Got it for five bucks at a pawn shop

http://www.webcom.com/inty/bluesky/games/credits.shtml
http://www.webcom.com/inty/bluesky/games/credits.shtml

Oh and I'm a Commodore nut from way back
Currently have six machines, two working models
A 1984 west german built C-128 with inbuilt disc drive and hong kong 1985 built C-128 with inbuilt drive (this is the cheapo version)

4 x C64 (original version and the C64 II)
A couple of 1541 II disc drives

I'm definately interested in getting more games for this
Probably got two big trays full of them and also have a heap of instructional manuals and RUN magazines from the 80's

Pinball is another I'm interested in but don't have any yet

I collect Medieval weapons and armour.
I have swords of various different types, daggers, axes, polearms, as well as a 90lbs longbow and a 20lbs ash recurve.
I have a few sets of gambeson, which I made myself, a chain hauberk, which I made myself, a suit of leather armour half studded half ring-jack which I made myself, a bunch of gauntlets, grieves, vambraces, gloves, etc. Some shields.
I have some helmets of various different types.
I have various medieval clothing, tools, equipment. From all social classes from peasant to higher noble or landed knight.
I also have a crap load of training weapons and armour. as well as some oriental training weapons.
I have made a lot of the stuff I have.
I occasionally teach medieval swordsmanship and such.

I also have a bunch of streetmachine mags, but I dont so much collect them, as just not throw them out.

Here is some of my console collections. I have a fair bit of Atari stuff, about 3 different versions of the 2600, the 7800, and the hand held Lynx.

Also have most of the early consoles - sega master system ,mega drive, Nintendo entertainment, super and 64. Also a few less common ones like the CBS, Philip's and Hanimex.

Also an upright Arcade machine with a Namco Classics board which has 2 versions of Gallaga, 2 of Xavious and 2 of Mappy. Also have another game board of The last day.

Man that's awesome, only my movie collection can beat that
In the early 70's we had one of those phillips console's

Shows ya just how far we've come.
I got the commodore 128D back online the other night on a small TV as my 90cm Panasonic TV got put into the lounge room part of the workshop for bathurst weekend after the one that was there had the power system go on the blink

Couldn't use the 51cm sony cause the VHS and laserdisc machines are hooked up to it.
I was having fun playing street machines on the 128 and the TV went boom (hadn't been on in ages)
Oh well, I've got five more 14 inch TV's that work.

What I'm after is super grand prix game for the 64, I lost the disc
Almost won one on ebay a few years back

I also collect toy guns, the older or more unusual the better.

1,2 are Lacquer Guns, No. 2 can hold 10 Lacquers.
3,4,5 are Cap Guns
6,7 are Pop Guns,
8,9, 10, 11 are probably my favourites, and are Paper popping Guns. Instead of using Caps to go bang, they use plain paper strips. They use air to blow a hole through the paper, and are usually louder than Caps. No.11 is my own design on this idea, and is very loud.
12 is a sheet metal water pistol made by Daisy
13 is a 1898 Cast iron toy gun.

Here are some of my Scooters. The more unusual the better. Two are called Kick and Go, and were made by Honda. The Yellow one has a manufacture date of 20/8/75. They have a kick lever attached to a chain, which drives the rear wheel. The other old red one has a rocking board which drives the rear wheel.

Pity I didn't know 18 months ago , I sold a Commodore 64 + carton of software at an auction , it had only been out of the box 2 times , I got $1.50 for it .

Also gave away an Ollvetti XT 720 / 3.5 floppy with monitor and Compaq "Luggable" 286 (built in screen) . I'll have to find what else I've ot in the shed .

My 3 favourite family heirlooms is a "peep sight" builders level & 1900 docket book & Gramophone , all Gt Grandfathers

I know this is an old topic - figured someone on here may though...

Anyone still collect retro video game consoles? Anyone have any lying around. :p

I have amassed a collection of NES/SNES/N64/GC/Wii/SMS/SMSII/SMD/SMDII/S32X/SMCDII/DC/PSX/PSOne/PS2/PS3/XBox 360.

Missing the Sega Saturn, and the XBox, but am hoping to finish my current collections before progressing further along...

Will update with pictures of my stuff shortly. ;)

That is a fair bit of it anyway. Missing a couple things here and there but not enough room to display it all!

Cheers guys. Has taken about 2-3 years so far to amass all that. Have about 14-15 shoe boxes full of more gear as well.... always buying more. Trying to finish one collection at a time though at the moment. Starting with the SMS/SMSII first. Then progress through otherwise it will always be bits and bobs. :p

Just picked up another PS2 with games, SMD with games, and have COD: Black Ops Prestige, GT5 Signature, Assassin's Creed - Brotherhood Codex Edition all for PS3 to add to it as soon as they come out (pre-order).

Going to leave the Nintendo stuff til last as a lot of the stuff I want is from America (R.O.B. units etc.).

Can't imagine how much cash I have spent on all this either...

You guys collect any retro gear yourselves?
