Got a 97 EL 4.0L
Had it since 1999 when it had 90000. It now has 185000 and a few more noises but nothing that is really worrying. Got shafted by my ford dealer on the 100000 service when it was just out of warranty so since then have done everything myself. Has had a new alternator, starter motor, 2 batteries, brake pads and rotors, springs and exhaust system. Thats all. Nothing else has gone wrong with it. Very reliable I would say! |

EF II Fairmont Ghia. 6 of course. 273,000km and no real problems cept for what appears to be a front main seal leak and a faulty thermoswitch for the fans.
Might want to mention its dual fuel and spends most of its time on LPG though Owned since 37,000 on the clock, did over 60,000km last year, oil changes every 2-3 months suck |

EF Fairmont, 94', 320,000KM, I've owned it about 4 days, and put about 800km on it lmao.
320,000 and it's still going well, only time will tell though. New rings seem to be needed as it blows a small ammount of smoke on a cold morning, when I rev it out to 5500 :P |

My EA is a 91 Series 2.
Its done 511,000 km's now. It's not an ex taxi but it was travellers car when I got it at 430 something k's three years ago The motor got swapped at 495,000 when it blew the head gasket. It wasn't worth doing a head gasket on the old engine just to get it to 500k as the secondhand engine was $150, on special at pick-a-part, plus about another $150 for gaskets welch plugs and other parts. |

Just scored an 89 NA, 715,000. Probably an ex hire car. I doubt much of the driveline is original.
The car is surprisingly sound given the k's |

95 EF XR6 - 242,000
Bought it in 2003 with less than 200,000 It's sat in a shed for near two years and is back on the road! The gearbox (being a manual) is nice and tight. The motor is still able hold its own after some pretty poor treatment after the radiator split one afternoon. |

my brother just bought an EL xr6 stock with 108,000 clicks on it.. an he's given me the ed fairmont 94 which has 270,000 km(bought at 250,000 km) ... looks good with el-gt rims, super lows and tinted windows etc. (regularly serviced since he had it and it has had a dyno tune with 120 rwkw - so i think i came out alright ;)
edit: how come you censored b-ro out!? can't we be fully sick as well |
