yep, microbee's were all the go, we used to play a game where you had to draw pictures using co-ordinates typed in.....i think it was called LOGO from memory, then we had an update in about grade 6 and we used to play Where in the world is Carmen Santiago. Now that was hard to get on, everyone wanted to play, we ended up having to have a roster to play on it. LOL

This was a few models before mine. Mine looked exactly the same but it ran @ 2.0mhz! Green screen etc. I eventually fitted a tape back up drive to it which cost mega $$$$.

My first comp was an Intel 286 with 640kb of ram and a 256kb GFX setup. Had an 80MB HDD, a 5.25" drive and a 3.5" drive. 15" colour monitor too.. lol.

In fact, I could list every comp I've owned in order.. not that many (I wouldn't say so anyway)...

286
386
Pentium 75
Celeron 466
Athlon 1.33 Thunderbird
Celeron256 1300 (The Athlon blew up)
Pentium III 1000 (I upgraded the Celeron.....)
Sempron 2200+ (current)

Default not sure about this

My age is going to show here...

My first computer was programed in binary with switches, and I built it myself,
then a CBM Plus 4 and so on, I still have the docs that came with my first IBM clone, a "President" with 2 360 floppies and a green screen monitor for the discount price of $4790.

My dad actually sold these for a while and he gave me one.

And I was the lucky bugger that got to unsolder and replace the keyswitches after the school kids wore them out. I also worked on Apple II, IIe and IIGS machines.
I once replaced a power supply on a DEC rainbow that ran DOS 2.0, I left the voltage switch on 110, the machine ran happily for half an hour and then blew a fuse. Replaced the fuse, changed the switch to 240 and away it went, they dont make em like that anymore!

an ancient Amstrad something-or-other with green screen and the floppy drive built into the keyboard. No hard drive as such, just a monitor and a keyboard.

My first was the Amstrad 64 as well! With the bulit in cassette player. The thing barely ever could play games coz the tape player went out of alignment all the time.

My first computer was a 486DX2. 66Mhz, 16 Mb ram and 500Mb HDD.
I then progressed to:

And now my latest toy is

That's what I was going to say. I remeber them 'new' orange on screen and everything hads a bee on it. We had these at high school.

I borrowed a Vic 20 just to play with then I got a Commodore 64 of a cousin (I'd get copied game from using a double cassette deck) But then my folks could see computers being useful, so they bought my an Amega 500 with expansion board. I sill remember sitting in front of the TV playing Indiana Jones: Last crusade.

First one I bought was a Pentium 133.

Hey Guys

The first computer I ad was a c64 with a floppy drive and a monitor, California Games and Skate or Die were my favs. I then upgraded to a 486 25 with 4 MB RAM and a 20 GB hard drive, I loved Stunts, best game ever. That and the Wing Comander series.
