Thats a great idear Scotty. I know mark just put his hubcaps back on while his rims get cleaned. But im sure if someone asked him he would be willing to give a couple to jared. I'll talk to him and let you know. If we cant get them as a last resort we could get a big ford flag, just as another idear.

I have only just been on the forums now and I have read the whole thread and I am shocked to see what I have just read. I was told about this at the mini meet on Tuesday and I didnt realise how bad it was till now. I will be going in tonight to see him with Grechie so if anyone else wants to come let me know and we can meet up. My mobile is 0439 995 311. Well done to sunny with his well presented statement on safety thumbs up there. I hope that Jared is in a stable condition and very ega to see his condition. I will post up later tonight or tomorrow how he is so you guys know. I wish Jared all the best and hope he make a full recovery.

Scotty that hub cap idea is perfect and I am willing to donate mine is we are unable to get any by Sunday.

good to that he is stable enough to take a phone call good sign! one of my close mates was the single surviver in a car accident in 2004, he has mild permanent brain damage. he was in the alfred hospital for 3 months and no-one could talk to him on the phone.
so this is good news. hope Jared is out and about soon!

Guys have you thought bout sending that hubcap around Australia to all E-series reps in each State for them to then get the members to sign it.

I realise you wanted to get it to him asap, but maybe it would give him a bigger kick to realise that so many E-Series (maybe other AFF members to) have signed it for him..

Just a thought

Edit: It really is good news that people have spoken with him and going in to see him. Thank goodness it wasn't worse. Speedy recovery now is in order for the lad

It would take a little while (maybe everyone could chip money to the state reps to send it priority post, or whatever its called, you know the fast posting thingy).

Or another thought is to get each State rep to just concentrate on their State.. He would end up with a few hubcaps but they could then be joined together to be like a feature or something for his wall.. Yeah I know it sounds like a girly suggestion, : but what do you think??

Well it is time now to put everyones minds at ease. I have just got home from the Royal Melbourne Hospital after seeing Jared. He is doing great and he isnt as bad as I expected. He has a fractured pelvic bone (hip bone), internal bruising in his right leg (bruise) lots of scratches/cuts on his right side of his face, one being rather deep but doesnt require stitches. He has double vision/concussion due to the impact of course and he has got movement in his legs and arm but very hard to move due to being so drugged up.

Now to how the accident occurred. Jared was turning right out of Farnham Drive into Scoresby Rd heading upto Anaconda meet and as he was pulling out there where two car vertually side by side. Jared say the car that was in the left lane but in the right hand lane was another car being the 4WD and because the car in the left was infront only a little bit he never saw the 4WD and he pulled out after the one in the left lane passed and BANG!!! He did a full 360. He was very very lucky that there were no cars on the other side otherwise it could have been a 720 and much more serious including Fatality.
The car is a total lose as Jared has only got 3rd party insurance but covers the other car but not his and he has to pay excess ofcourse. The full impact was on the Drivers side mostly between the drivers door and the front guard. It took them 45 mins to get him free from the wreck and flown to the Royal. They had to cut away the piller in between the front and rear door as well as the steering wheel to get him free.
The guy in the 4WD responded very quickly after impact as he thought that he had killed him as Jared was curled over the steering wheel unconcious and bleeding from the head etc. Jared doesnt recall anything at all and was unconcious the whole time til he got to the hospital.

Great to hear he's recovering well, and can actually remember what happened. He was incredibly lucky by the sound of this. Thanks for the update on his condition Mark.

The doctors are saying that he will be going into rehab for his hip and this process takes time so he would be out for a while. It could take 3 months before he is able to leave and upto 6-12 months for a full recovery.
I will be visiting Jared on a regular basis as he does need some company and support. It must be so boring laying there staring at the TV all day so please guys show your support and go visit him, im sure he would like that and will speed up the healing process. He is on level 4 room 14 bed 2. Is needed the phone no. is 93427000 and ask for Jared Coad. Visiting hrs are till 8pm

I don't understand what you've written about the accident? Could you explain it a bit better?

I dont think it warrants further discussion. What happened cant be changed, discussing it wont help either.

His a very lucky boy, and I hope he has a speedy recovery.

What bit dont you understand? The cars were almost side by side but the car in the left was farward a little and never say the 4WD in the right hand. He went in between the 2 cars and got collected

Agreed. Very lucky that no cars were on the other side of the road.

BTW Al how is your car going? Did you fix the misfire?
