I had a really good night guys. The meet points were pretty good, hidden away from main roads and in relatively low traffic zones so there were no appearances from Police except for that random cop at Vermont, who didn't give a rat's anyway lol.

It was also a lot less all over the shop than the previous cruises.

In other words this was one of the best night cruises I have been on in recent months, and I'm looking forward to the next one.

Two big thumbs up to Adz and JMM for their hard work.

I doubt it at this stage, the car parks werent really suited to nice shots.
I suggest contacting the goodz prior to a meet and organise having your car pulled to the side for half an hour or so at a meet point with proper lighting.

yeah Kenaz & Ghia5L, we need more representation from the 5 litre brigade

Although there were a couple of 5 litre EL ghia's there. Blackout had his, stevo, and a stock looking red one, (with cai and k&n etc) not sure who owned that one.. and mine. I'll be bringing my whole camera setup to the next one, with tripod etc, so if anyone wants some shots of their car, primarily go to The Goodz as he is the resident shutterbug guru, but i'm happy to supplement where required.. i can take half decent photos huhu

Must say The Goodz has some fantastic work on his site though.

i'm pretty sure you can drive the 5lt fairlane mate, it's technically a 4.9, and is well under the power to weight restrictions. At least until the new laws of 'no v8's' comes in July 2007 - use the calculator on the vicroads site.

What the others have said is true, just because its a V8 doesn't make it a high powered vehicle.

Its only the new laws for those who get their licences next year that ban all turbo and V8 cars.

The LTD would be way under the power-to-weight limit and hence FULLY legal to dribe while on your p's.

Your LTD for example 165kw and 1700kg (??)

= 165/1700 x 1000
= 97kw per tonne.

The limit is 125kw per tonne as you can see you car is way under the limit :

I had a great time at the cruise, apart from wearing like 5 layers and still freezing my ar5e off. Some nice demo's throughout the night too. lol jkz :evil3:

Well Done to JJM and AdzELXR for organising an awesome night out, and thanks to Sunny for taking me along.

The rule only applies to specifications released by the manafacturer. So as long as its legal from factory they cant do anything even if you have 300rwkw and strip your falcon back to 1300kg!
